About
What we stand for
These aren't slogans on a wall — they're the decisions we make every day when building On Radar.
Principle 01
Clarity over clicks
We optimise for understanding, not engagement metrics. If a story doesn't add to your knowledge, it doesn't belong in your feed. We will never use dark patterns, outrage bait, or manipulative notifications to keep you scrolling.
Principle 02
Source integrity
Every article links back to the original publisher. We don't paraphrase away credit, bury attribution in footnotes, or present aggregated work as our own. Good journalism deserves readers — our job is to connect the two.
Principle 03
Transparency by default
Our methodology, editorial policy, and source list are all public. When AI generates a summary, it's labelled. When we make a mistake, we correct it openly. You should never have to wonder how or why a story reached your feed.
Principle 04
Privacy as a right
We collect the minimum data needed to deliver the service. No ad trackers, no third-party data brokers, no selling your reading habits. Your attention is not our product — the news is.
Principle 05
Accessible to everyone
Information that matters shouldn't be locked behind paywalls or walled gardens. We keep On Radar free and open, with fast load times, dark mode support, and a clean reading experience on any device.
Principle 06
Independence
We are not owned by a media conglomerate, funded by political interests, or beholden to advertisers. Editorial decisions are made based on newsworthiness, not revenue. We intend to keep it that way.
